Meet Mickey

Hi! I´m Mickey, the most handsome blind dog you will ever meet! Here is a message from my amazing foster mom. "Mickey is blind, but does not know it. He relies on a seeing eye person to help keep him safe. Mickey is fully potty trained, leash trained, a non-barker and will stay quietly in a large crate if needed. Mickey LOVES walks and exploring outside and gets used to his environment quickly. He is learning well to walk along your right side and not cross in front. Although Mickey likes other animals, he gets very excited and sometimes scared around them. Therefore, he would do best as the only pet in the household. Because he is blind, Mickey uses his mouth to understand and communicate with you and new people. However, once he finds his stable environment and receives the affection he so badly craves, this trait will diminish with continued proper training. He is very responsive to the training he receives from his foster mom who is happy to work with his new family as consistent training is important. With a toy, a yard and a forever family, Mickey will thrive and reward you with many cuddles."

I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.
