Sissy (Samus Aran) Terrier Adult (2-7 years) Female Medium About Neutered status: Yes Meet Sissy (Samus Aran) If you are looking for a small, but active lapdog, Sissy is your girl! Sissy loves to hang out in your lap and enjoys giving you occasional kisses to remind you how fond she is of her people. She enjoys going for walks or just watching TV with you. Sissy is much more interested in people than she is in toys or other dogs. She is house-trained and rides well in the car. She knows how to sit, and we are trying to teach her to sit up on her haunches with her front feet in the air, too. We recently took Sissy on a trip to Port Aransas along with one of our dogs. As we expected, Sissy is a great traveler! She was well-behaved in the car (if you don't mind her sitting in your lap instead of the seat next to you, LOL). She was fabulous in the condo and slept through the night in a comfy chair next to the bed. The elevator was a new experience for her, but she got used to it. She went for many long walks on the beach and was happy to get attention from people. Sissy is not a fan of getting wet, but she would follow us into the shallow water. She even went on the jetty boat to St. Jo's island. She was nervous about getting on the boat, but was quite happy as long as she was in my lap. She is such a good girl, and if we didn't already have 6 dogs of our own, we might be tempted to adopt her. BUT Sissy deserves a home of her own where she will be the center of attention. Please let us know if you would like to meet her! Sissy weighs just 22 lbs and is about 5 years old. She is being treated for heartworms, but she is able to meet potential adopters! HSNBA has several adoption options for dogs undergoing treatment for heartworms, please reach out to them for more information! Sweet Sissy is going to be a fabulous companion for a lucky individual or family!
