Hi my name is Julie! I am assumed to be a German Shepherd Mix! I am aged at a year and a half old! I found my way into the shelter on 9/15/23. When I came in I was very shy and didn't care much for human affection. Through some time and patience I started to open up! The Volunteers and caretakers have noted me as Loving, calm, willful, and playful. They have let me interact with a few dogs and even children, and I love everyone I have met! Unfortunately, when they tested me for heartworms, it came back positive. They told me I have a parasite in my heart that will need to be treated, however I am not able to do treatment here due to the stress level. Because of that reason they are working effortlessly to find me a suitable foster or adopters home to go through treatment at. I wait patiently everyday for a Hero, and I believe the perfect person will come. I am located at the New Braunfels Humane Society and would love to meet you.
