Nala is a sweet, quirky lab-mix who has endured significant trauma in her young life. She's slowly learning how to trust and allow humans to love on her. She has a sweet disposition with people she knows. She still has growing to do... she'll walk fine on a leash, however putting her collar or harness on can be a challenge. Baseball caps cause her to have a very negative reaction even if she's comfortable with the individual. It is best to allow her to come to you when she's ready. She gently takes treats from your hand. We believe she will love having a friend, but at this point, her fear holds her back from interacting with other dogs. With the right kind of training, she'll be an amazing companion!
I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.
Meet Nala! The almost 2 yr old Labrador who came in with a litter of puppies who have since been adopted and now she’s waiting for her turn to find a forever home. Nala was originally from a hoarding case with other dogs and after being rescued she is still dealing with some socializing and exposure she didn't receive previously. She currently is in a foster home with no other animals, but with slow introductions might be able to co-exist with any resident pets.
